WMRM 02:48
Simpler time simpler time Golden apple fresh on the vine What would it take to recharge To relearn to return Wait for the spell to finish Don’t leave the room away Even a small lapse of attention Is a chance for the essence to escape Simpler time simpler time Working with karma in the kitchen Chef’s knife cut away The ego and all suffering Balancing act tightrope relax Focus zero out for a moment Wait for the spark to leap from the flame Mysterious changes are afoot When you see it you’ll know it I’m open for the moment When it happens activation Transportation to a different state Heard about an ancient world Dirt beneath shoes was harder Had to work to earn each step But now I do my worst and get nowhere Simpler then puzzling now Silver apple fresh from the ground Could a song be a shovel Lifting out toil and trouble When you see it you’ll know it The point’s not always poignant It could be a summary a pointless joke a winding story

Careening 03:16
None of us know what we’re shopping for Only the desperate need Clicking round the pinball hall Trying to stay on our feet Bumpy night in the cabin Sharks below were ravenous Short break from a bad habit On deck to see the sun sink ahead of us A change a shift, even if just a glimpse Let the wind take this ship even if I may drift Control was never mine to begin Dawn by train through new zone What are those dozers digging for Riders each with our own beehive Who are we buzzing towards Move so fast forget the steps Camera can't zoom out to see Tumbleweeds chasing their meaning Or billiards careening A change a shift even if just a glimpse May we lift from this track heading back to the homeworld Control was never ours to begin From the outer space window Familiar star get dimmer Are we accelerating Preparing to stop suddenly A change, a shift Control was never mine to begin Change and shift Control was never mine to begin

I was the glitch in morning’s matrix Shattered the eggs and watered the coffee down Made a wish for a deeper pot While accepting the depth I’ve been dealt For now… When I head down the drain Circling spiraling The arc ever narrowing Slope intensity steepening My chances decreasing One word and I know you Waiting for centuries Hello from the high seas Watch the arrows flying blue sky All we’ve been through, little windows Us two sherlocks in the water Don’t need the weather report To know where we are Lovers glitch… Moments adrift On a walk spoiled by rain We go searching again for the Satellite dish Tuning to lover’s glitch Satellites have all gone out Bouncing stations rearranging Signal might come fully garbled Once statues solid marble Comes apart, we’re back to start Hard reset in heaven’s arms Work through the noise with me Petal through the thorns with me Forget growing old, We’ll rip the calendar

Sad Thread 04:39
Pale light moving as a curtain Appearing dreams and mid day The vision comes around uninvited For too long I let the skeletons decide Heading down If looking for a drastic change Will skip the lottery Luck alone cannot heal Gonna need to go beyond the wheel Stayed inside summer on a loop Sad thread ends too soon Gravity pressed me like garlic Not quite grief still serious Bask in the sun Sway in the song Wait for my cue To move along When I walk I'm only crushing leaves Don’t remember shutting out the scenery Twas the birth of a sad trend Wouldn’t look around the bend

When the light went out We went after it Floating mansion above the ridge Drove over it, barely a bridge Thin Band-Aid Above certain blue death Our host was important Ancient and tasteful We chased him to the end of his patience To the courtyard Perfect summer All our singers open tuning Daffodils blooming Voices assuming It was time for another concert Sudden holiday island away from the sick wind tone poem away from home

Beyond Oasis 04:01
By the end of each week I am sinking The mirage in the heat has never looked fainter Drawing from life try to catch it in time But the branch was burned by that lightning of mine Prefer the buzz of a lamp to the warmth of an amplifier Pick the fly in the blinds to a low brass line Give me what’s real the essence revealed Or just drop me in the desert with a net for the fish Beyond oasis the vision faded May never capture what I am after Beyond oasis I must have chased it away Trying to leave myself behind leave myself behind In a room of liars I’d wear the honest smile When you took attendance you’d have your crocodile Checking back on the day it may seem like a waste As history’s bird cage liner it’s just a taste And the sum of all these shreddings Nice meetings, long weddings Is the book with the broken spine you open when you have time Beyond oasis the vision faded May never capture what I am after Beyond oasis I must have chased it away Trying to leave myself behind leave myself behind

Not every memory deserves a diary Document of fateful time Room I don't go in blueprint not showing Mistake or forbidden design Not every memory deserves a door stop It came back, should I let it run free Amok around and then out away out Down the street complications unseen Not every memory deserves a cup of tea But one could slow time down And In the steeping distinction’s leaving Its the cup that holds the colors now Not every sip deserves a second Sick click of the teeth in a mouth If too hot come back in a moment Just waiting for the heat to die down This time… no different from the last .. This morning… we all have them This time - out again out This morning nothing to cry about Why do I need an occasion Tumbling out like comedy Why do I need a reason Easy like a second wind

Easy Goer 03:13
Rear view year Time to work on puzzles Self discover even if treachery uncovered Always been an easy goer What I lost in each fire I’d just accept as expired Never sat to grieve the ashes Or unravel the tangled past An abandoner of feeling Skipped fear in the recipe But its loomed on the spice rack Looking through the bottles from the back Always been an easy goer When my poor golden car died didn’t waste one ounce crying Moved right on, left the light on At night the autumn wind whipping In an early mood of November I spent a soggy moment in memory That’s me easy goer goodbye I’m the leaver nothing to show for Always been an easy goer What is it like to mourn Heading out in the heat of the storm Let the rain rip the hair from my head At least then I would be feeling And if a friend walks out behind me Take shelter without hiding Here we are in the eye Each of us side by side Up in smoke I pretend I never lost sleep Dream the hours my pillow full of sweets Always been an easy goer

False Alarm 03:35
Fork in the road was fake I ran straight through Off the track I laughed at the time Life got back at me, years of revenge Before during and after Sirens all went off Shrill in the still of the night Can’t hurt to be ready I'm on high alert always Catch myself turning the wheel, Blinking up stopping in time To avoid having to be real Go ahead now back to your rooms Without gore and trauma here No doomsday nor evil tidings Far from over but there's zero to see Surgery at the museum Sculptor trapped in their mausoleum Worker bees came With the jaws of life Actor in the opening scene Broke the applause with a sharp scream Long road of experience Dead ending in this moment or is it? False alarm No true harm Got my attention Didn’t expect but I accept it Didnt expect but I accept it And now the golden bough Start to lay down But turn around I’ve changed my route Don’t need an invitation I’m destined to burn anyway Later at the diner, cheeseburger on fire Ate it and loved it with fountains of ketchup Splash down in the river In the midnight drive department When we close the account all will be remitted Once upon a time in the morning A true end a phone call Armpits were steel wool Not all alarms are warnings

Soup Song 03:16
Took time to bubble over Camera caught simmering moment There in the slew, becoming new I face my opponents What is at my core? Onion with no floor I’m impatient, losing layers Less I’m wanting more I’m wanting more Green slime, smell of a cave Tide timing brought up the waves Shattered shells becoming sand Execute the slow plan Crustacean bones on the outside My lakeside cabin in mind Evergreen stuck to my nose Even when the kitchen billows over With smoke at my core No basement below floor Still I struggle pick the puzzle Can’t close the front door What is at my core?

Odd Number 02:54
Odd number easy goer I’m a sneaker nothing to show for it But a library of books I wrote in my own language you wouldn’t know it Under the radar cloud cover ticking time odd rhumba Oh did I stumble into the slumber of another? I apologize Little brother how you’ve been spending your hours I observe through a snow globe Are you in trouble? Head for the railroad Flakey flakes let em go You are my number one in the all time hall of fame You wear the crown I’m certain playing a different game Then the rest of us… Out of the park, off of the map…simple fact Odd number easy goer I’m a sneaker afraid of my shadow I’ll test the water, let it blow over odd weather so easy to know about A hurricane off the coast cast my net forget my vote A soggy dollar don’t mean to bother easy cover, just let go Came to to radio static A sound bath a light snack Frozen cold - shocking bold I didn’t dress for the weather, it dressed me Changed my clothes

On construction paper scissors and a twist Play creator moments in the mist I am three dee exploring Painting targets as a warning Made to disappear after receipt Jet buzzed the house, a sneak preview My own target area narrow A double bullseye split the arrow Split the arrow are the walls up I’ve got my walls up Find the blind spots, most vulnerable Bright red devil screaming past Target painted arts and crafts Us insects left alone Hollow heartbeats easing along Blips on the smooth line marks and disturbance No message in our motion any step or turn As the target area narrows Go for a bulls eye split the arrow split the arrow Are the walls up I’ve got my walls up Find the blind spot most vulnerable Feel surrounded, my rattled roost All signs pointing as if I needed proof The crowd is gath outside the window Born to perform without rehearsal Find the battlefield most appealing Dodge responsibility chasing intrigue Watch the archer, stretched and shallow As if a better idea was more valuable Split the arrow... Flyover traffic controller Found my workaround paint roller Watercolors smeared landscape Spans past the borders to my neighbors Back to the archer area narrow Go for the bulls eye I split the arrow

Too late for real talk, we can cancel the slow walk Give me theater without dimensions All it takes is a simple tune to hold my attention Catch me at the scene change I’m on the edge of my seat It happens naturally I-90 east seven shifts before you know it All’s ending well, but I’ll show not tell It’s too late for real talk bring on the popcorn Movie magic curious tragedy the violins are restringing waiting for their Decrescendo I met a conductor went through my list of questions They said “If i had to do it different I’d start and end in the same spot’” That’s what 2 late for real talk want the news from the ocean floor Fish bones becoming diamonds coral just climbing (with time) Makes me wish for a sardine sandwich and to swim with the dolphins Would they tell me what I wanted to hear or would they be just another busted crystal?

All the pages of the novel Destroyed by bath water Stuck together drying now Help remember what was it about? Young family trapped in their home Pets out of plants and food out of store I warn you the words are impossible to read Each letter every sentence bleeds together Tricky dinner on a holiday A blue pie on the window sill Did I dream it were those memories true? at last but not for good Like Celine Dion or the cat all coming all coming back To overwhelm the neighborhood At last but not for good My Camry’s engine revved true Against the oily glow of the moon But now it rests in piece a melted mood At last but not for good Once saw a painting kind of cryptic In three slices holy image I always thought I had understood but But Gabriel was up to no good Old man off in the desert Enlightened on his own errand Found strength to scale the mountain Tuned in til his heart rate dropped Oh the clarity, was amazing Sweet ideas familiar rings But not a soul to tell the feeling to At last but not for good Little Nemo read the horoscope said Don't wake up today, you stay put instead A bed can be a subway too Multipurpose its true Captain Hook checked the telescope Saw his crocodile in cold storage Now he finds relief around every corner and is Sleeping free for now from horror I synthesize, I caterwaul At the city pool I did the cannonball Got kicked out laughed at mostly your voice Stood out it had no choice Ha ha ha
